PESHAWAR: The United Nations (UN) Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances (WGEID) arrived in Peshawar on Monday where it is scheduled to meet the interior secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Geo News reported.
The delegation arrived in Peshawar where it will hold meeting with the Interior Minister Azam Khan to gather information about missing persons in the province.
According to official sources, the delegation will be briefed about the steps taken to recover the missing persons.
The mandate of the UN team that had arrived in Pakistan on September 9 was to collect data about the missing persons.
The delegation had been visiting various parts of the country and meeting officials, representatives of civil society organisations and UN agencies.
