ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has received the Supreme Court’s verdict regarding disqualification of members of national and provincial assemblies holding dual nationalities.

Talking to Geo news in Karachi, ECP Chairman Fakhuruddin G Ibrahim said that the commission has received the copy of SC verdict, adding that the officials of the commission will take action after reviewing the court’s order.

According to the sources, two officials of ECP are present in Islamabad while another official from Sindh is likely to visit the federal capital today.

The sources said that at least three members out of four must attend the meeting of the decision-making committee.

An immediate meeting of election commission has been convened while the action against the parliamentarians is also likely today.
