US: Mansoor Shah murder mystery continues

DALLAS: The mystery surrounding the death of Mr Mansoor Shah is still not resolved and after prompt reporting in Pakistani news media, the police have taken the body of Mr Shah back for another round of more detailed post-mortem, in order to ascertain the true cause of his death and if he was assassinated or had committed a suicide.

According to resources, the police report had identified only one bullet hole in his head while the autopsy report claimed two very visible signs of bullet wounds. The second round of autopsy would be performed on the insistence of his family members.

Moreover, some important evidence was also recovered from his body. Some Forensic experts are of the opinion that the presence of two bullet wounds is clear indication of assassination of Mr Shah. Initial police report indicated this as a suicide case.

However on insistence of his family members police is reconsidering facts and the case is going to open again for investigation.

Police has also recovered Mr Shah's cell phone and will be easier to determine as whom he talked to last. Police were asked to recover the video tape of United Central Bank's surveillance camera, however it was discovered that the camera was not functioning the night of this incident.

Attempts are being made to acquire surveillance video from a nearby restaurant. Also Mansoor Shah's family has hired a private detective to investigate as to how he died and who is invvolved in his muddier.

On the other hand Nadeem Zaman of Pakistan society of North Texas (PSNT) and their President Barkat Basaria has sent a letter to the Mayor of Arlington stating that Mr Mansoor Shah was a prominent leader of Pakistani American community, and his family should be helped in getting justice and those who have perpetrated this heinous act should be brought to justice. They said Mayor should be talking to the Chief of Arlington Police to ensure that justice will be done. They have stated as Pakistani Americans constitute a large community in Metroplex with a significant contribution to its economy.

It is essential that justice be served in this matter. Also many Pakistani Americans also approach their representative and state senator regrading this matter.

Mr Mansoor Shah's parents have acquired the US visa and are expected to arrive here on Saturday morning. The Funeral Service (Namaz-e-Janaza) is schedule at 03:00 PM on Saturday September, 22 at Al-Baqi Cemetery 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A large number of people are visiting Mr Mansoor Shah's home in Mansfield to share the grief with his brother Hasnain Shah and wife Birgees Shah.

The news of Mansoor Shah sudden death is widely reported in Pakistani media and special supplements are issued to highlight Mr Shah's life and legacy. However local American media has not reported it although it is an important news for Pakistani American community.

Mr Mansoor Ali Shah (March 31, 1960 - September 16, 2012) was a remarkable man with unparallel achievements. During just 52 years of his life, Mr Shah had not only been a successful businessman but also served the community more than 12 years.

Mansoor is survived by his grieving parents, wife, four young children all under the age of 12 years and many extended family members, all of whom loved him dearly.
