Dual nationality: ECP to meet Monday

ISLAMABAD: Following the orders of the Supreme Court, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will be holding a review meeting on Monday over dual nationality of parliamentarians including that of Interior Minister Rehmand Mallik.

The Supreme Court had on Thursday issued orders in connection with unseating 11 members of provincial and national assemblies holding dual nationality and also taking further action against them.

Implementing the SC orders the ECP immediately scrapped the membership of the 11 parliamentarians. However, the ECP will be holding its meeting Monday to determine as to how the SC orders are to be implemented.
