KARACHI: Four armed robbers on Tuesday made off with more than Rs 0.8 million from a private bank in a third bank heist of the month on University Road near Askari Park.

According to DSP West Javed Mehar, four robbers barged into the bank branch around noon, held staff at hostage, and get off with approximately an amount of Rs 8,00000 and the gun of a security guard.

He, however, said that the accused could be traced through Close Circuit Television (CCTV) Camera footage. He said further investigation was under way.

It may be mentioned here that robbers had also looted Rs 2 million from a private bank in Metroville SITE on Monday. (PPI)
