KARACHI: The ongoing violence claimed two more lives and left a cop injured in Karachi on Wednesday morning.

As per details, Zaheer Abbas, about 30 years of age, son of Nadir Hussain, was gunned down when unidentified armed men riding a bike opened fires at him near his house in Gulabarg-17, said police.

He sustained multiple gunshots in his upper body parts and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Another man was gunned down when unidentified armed men opened fire at him in Faqeer colony, Orangi town. Identity of deceased is yet to be ascertained. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Meanwhile, a police constable performing duty at Sohrab Goth police station was injured when unidentified gunmen sprayed bullets at him near Jamali roundabout at Gulsahn Maymar. He was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

He was identified as Muhammad Mithal, about 35 years old.
