LAHORE: The fire that erupted in a candle factory situated in Gulberg, Lahore has been controlled.
The fire was so severe that within no time the flames engulfed the third floor where the temporary roof collapsed because of the heat.
The fire erupted in the factory at 6 pm Saturday and very quickly spread to the whole building. Fire brigades and rescue teams reached the site immediately and started their efforts to control the fire.
The rescue teams faced a lot of difficulty as the factory is situated in a very narrow street, however after continuous efforts they were able to extinguish the fire.
No casualties occurred, as there was no one inside the factory building when the incident happened. The cause of the fire could not be ascertained.
