KARACHI: Pir of Pagara, Sibghatullah Shah Rashidi, Sunday said that he was trying to tack all the Pakistan Muslim League splinter groups together for he believed the party which brought this country into being would lead it into the future, Geo News reported.
The Pakistan Muslim League (Functional) chief said this during a meeting with Pakistan Muslim League (Quad-e-Azam) leaders Chaudhry Shujaat and Mushahid Hussain Syed, who called on him at Raja House, here.
According to sources the PML-F kingpin assured PML-Q top brass that he would surely succeed in bringing all the PML factions under one banner.
He made it clear that he was not after any position or a post, adding, it was only his earnest desire to see all the factions merge.
“I wish all PMLs to league together not out of any vested interest but utter sincerity”, Pir of Pagara said.
He said that he would very soon hold talks in Lahore and Islamabad to push this reunion envelope even further.
Sources also added that the PML-Q leaders opened their heart to Pir of Pagaro and reposed full confidence in his leadership during the meeting.
Pakistan Peoples Party leader Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi was present on the occasion.
Sources quoted Ch Shujaat as saying that PMLs were like a family and they wished Pir Pagara to lead all the leagues.
