ANKARA: Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday said Pakistan and Turkey shared many similarities in connection with establishment of democracy and struggle towards stamping out dictatorship.

Addressing the fourth annual congress of Justice and Development Party of Tureky here, Shahbaz Sharif said benefits can be derived from the example of Turkey.

He said projects worth 500 million dollars were underway in Punjab, adding, it has been decided that the big cities of the largest province of Pakistan would be brought at par with Turkey's Istanbul and Ankara.

Shahbaz Sharif said the relations between Pakistan and Turkey would gain further strength in days to come.
