KARACHI: CID police Friday arrested seven alleged terrorists including an Ameer of banned outfit and recovered huge amount of explosive material and weapons.

DIG CID Kamran Fazal accompanied by other officials during a press conference said that the accused were planning to explode Central Jail and a school bus.

The accused were involved in ongoing sectarian violence in the city. They were also involved in the killings of doctors and lawyers, he added.

Fazal said that the Ameer of a banned outfit Mehmood Babar alias Dorki Shah had taken training from Waziristan.

He said that the accused wanted to attack central jail to set free their associates. 125 Kg of explosive material, seven suicide jackets, one rocket launcher, six mortar, two Kalashnikovs, four TT pistol, three 9mm, three detonators and five hundred bullets were also recovered, he added.
