PTI peace rally to be stopped at Tank

PESHWAR: Provincial Information Minister Mian Iftikhar on Sunday said that as per directives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Governor, the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf’s (PTI) rally would not be allowed to move further after reaching Tank.

Talking to Geo news, Mian Iftikhar said that the provincial government is not stopping the peace march of PTI against drone attacks, adding that if they had wanted to stop the rally then it would not have entered the province.

He said that the governor is a member of federation and the provincial government is bound to follow his directives.

Iftikhar said he thinks Imran Khan and the local administration have reached to the agreement that the rally would not cross Tank area.

“Imran Khan himself has said that the rally would stop if administration asked to do so peacefully,” he added.
