LAHORE: Federal Minister Makhdoom Shahabuddin Sunday said that he initiated the enquiry of ephedrine case, first at departmental level and later through the ANF, Geo News reported.

Addressing a ceremony at the carpet exhibition, Makhdoom Shahabuddin said that some of his rivals didn’t want him to be the prime minister and, as such, he was portrayed as an accused just two days before his nomination for the PM slot.

He said that the terrorism and electricity load shedding have hit the carpet industry.
