KESC signals increase in loadshedding

KARACHI: Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has expressed the probability of increased loadshedding due to decrease in gas supply, Geo News reported Monday.

According to KESC spokesman, Sui Southern is providing less gas than usual with low pressure that causes immense damage to the powerhouses. Owing to the same reason, several power plants have tripped in the past two weeks.

The spokesman told that Sui Southern is openly violating the federation’s policy of distributing gas and that the powerhouses are not given priority as far as gas supply is concerned.
