Not ready for electronic voters list: CEC

KARACHI: Chief Election Commissioner former justice Fakhruddin G Ibrahim has said that he is bound to implement the Supreme Court's decision in dual nationality case.

Talking to media at the office of Election Commissioner Sindh on Monday, Fakhruddin said that the commission is not ready at the moment for electronic voters' list, but added that transparent electoral lists were already prepared.

He said that an important meeting of the commission has been convened on Tuesday to discuss the issue of dual nationality.

The Chief Election Commissioner said that the commission is increasing the number of polling stations to facilitate the voters.

Civil society, Media and all stake holders are actively observing matters relating to the general elections, he added.
