YDA to stage phase-wise protest from Monday

MULTAN: The Young Doctors Association (YDA) has announced to stage its phase-wise protest in hospitals across the Punjab province starting Monday from Shaikh Zaid Hospital, Rahimyar Khan.

The YDA held its general council's meeting here on Sunday in which various issues including torture of doctors came under review.

Later, the spokesman of YDA said the Out Patient Departments (OPDs) would remain closed during the time the protest continues in hospitals.

He warned that in case the YDA's demands are not fulfilled, announcement will be made to launch a long march on November 5.

The spokesman said that a sit-down will be staged in front of the Chief Minister's House in Lahore on November 7.
