ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court Wednesday discharged the appeal for the registration of a second FIR in the Benazir Bhutto Murder case, Geo News reported.

A five-member bench headed by Justice Tasadduq Hussain was hearing the appeal for the registration of second FIR in the Benazir Bhutto murder case here.

Benazir Bhutto’s then Protocol Officer, Aslam Chaudhry had filed this appeal for including the names of Pervez Musharraf, Chaudhry Pervaiz Ellahi, Rehman Malik, Babar Awan, and others in the second FIR.

The court raising objection on the status of the petitioner said that such a petition could only be filed by the heirs of the deceased. Thereafter, Aslam Chaudhry withdrew his petition and the case was disposed off.
