ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly's Standing Committee on Law and Justice has postponed its meeting over Accountability Bill 2012 till October 23, Geo News reported Wednesday.

Talking to media persons here Khursheed Shah, the Minister for Religious Affairs and the member of the above committee said, the meeting had to be put off till October 23 owing to the ongoing consultation with the opposition.

He said Naveed Qamar was holding talks with the opposition over the proposed draft of the Accountability Bill 2012.

Khursheed Shah said both Pakistan People's Party and Pakistan Muslim League-N have had their accountability carried out.

In the new Accountability Bill, the era of Pervez Mushrraf's rule as well as PPP's existing one have been presented for accountability.
