QUETTA: Citing security reasons the Balochistan government has decided to suspend mobile phone service in the province on October 27, the first day of Eid-ul-Azha, Geo News reported.
In a statement issued here by the Balochistan Home Ministry the cellular networks would be turned off for four hours from 07:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Eid day.
Home Secretary Akbar Durrani said that security had been beefed up across the province in general and Quetta in particular.
"Policing at all the the entryways and exits will be doubled in Quetta", he added.
