PESHAWAR: The misappropriation of millions from the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA postal departments has come to the surface on Wednesday here, Geo News reported.

Over 72 thousand widows and poverty-stricken persons are provided financial help under BISP in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA, but this relief amount in fact did not reach thousands.

According to the documents acquired by Geo News, cash withdrawals were made against several names through the signature of a single individual.

Sources said that Accountability Bureau has started investigation into the scam and has seized three mini-trucks loaded with records.
