Sycophants being appointed as judges: Asma

LAHORE: Former president Supreme Court Bar Association, Asma Jehangir Wednesday claimed the Supreme Court has failed to fulfill the basic requirements for justice delivery, adding, 'sycophants were being appointed as judges'.

Talking to media persons on the occasion of SCBA's annual elections here, Asma Jehangir called for appointments of judges on merit.

"If the judiciary would take up issues like sugar and CNG, then who would perform the job of dispensing justice to the people?" she regretted.
