ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan cricket captain Imran Khan has said that Pak-Indo cricket series is a welcome step, Geo News reported on Wednesday.

Speaking to media, Khan, who led Pakistan to its only World Cup victory in 1992, said he would not be able to visit India to witness the matches between Pakistan and India as he was busy in political activities with regard to upcoming election.

Mr Khan, who also heads a political party Tehrik-e-Insaf (Justice Movement), condemned the Punjab government for using Jinnah Stadium Gujranwala as helipad.
