KARACHI: Polling in the Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA) annual elections-2013 is being held at the Bar office on Saturday here, Geo News reported.

In Karachi, 1,740 registered voters will exercise their right to vote.

The presidential candidates are Advocate Mushtaq Ahmed and Advocate Mustafa Lakhani while Advocate Akhlaq Ahmed Khan and Advocate Yousuf Maulvi are in the run for the post of the vice president.
Advocate Asghar Nasim Faruqui and Advocate Muhammad Saleem Mangrio are contesting for the general secretary post. Advocate Rehan Aziz Malik has already been elected unopposed as the joint secretary.
For the post of treasurer, Advocate Majid Noman Khan and Advocate Shaikh Ikram Aziz are contesting.

The 17 candidates in the running for nine seats of managing committee are: Advocates Asim Aziz Khan, Asjad Sattar, Azizuddin Qureshi, Fazalur Rehman, Khursheed Javed, Liaquat Hussain, Aslam Chaudhry, Ikram Siddiqui, Iqbal Aqeel, Nadeem A. Shaikh, Naseem Jawaid, Qazi Ali Athar, Rizwan Ahmed Siddiqui, Rehan Farooq, Ms. Saeeda Siddiqui, Samsam Ali Khan and Z.U. Mujahid.

Polling will continue until 5.00 P.M. in the evening.
