Truck looted, torched by 12 motorcycle riders

KARACHI: Twelve armed motorcycle riders robbing a truck driver set it on fire, while it was on way from Shafique Mor to Nagan Chowrangi on Monday here, Geo News reported.

Police said that some unknown armed persons forced to stop a loading truck on way from Shafique Mor to Nagan Chowrangi looted the truck driver and conductor and while fleeing torched the truck.

Talking to media, truck driver said that the daredevil arsonists violating ban on pillion riding and carrying arms in the city carried out the loot, plunder and arson in broad daylight.

Fire Brigade reaching the scene doused the fire, but the engine of the truck at front side was completely gutted, while the loaded goods remained safe.
