ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party leader and Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Shah on Monday called for across the board operation in Karachi after evolving consensus among the stakeholders, Geo News reported.

Speaking to media, he dispelled the notion that there was sectarianism in Karachi, saying instead it was terrorism taking place in the city.

He said that it was not appropriate to ignore an issue by dubbing it a sectarian matter or indicating foreign hand.

Shah said that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and the Awami National Party (ANP) had also been in support of operation in the city.

Talking to media on Sunday in Sukkur, he had said that an indiscriminate and exemplary operation should be launched in Karachi after taking ruling allies into confidence.
