SC will hear petition challenging NAB Chief appointment

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court has accepted a petition for hearing filed by opposition leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan challenging appointment of Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani was hearing the petition.

Meanwhile, Asma Jehangir, the NAB's counsel, during the preliminary hearing said that the petition is non-maintainable as no basic right of petitioner is violated.
