Terror bid foiled in Karachi, suspect killed, arms recovered

KARACHI: Police claimed to have thwarted a terror bid and killed a suspect besides recovery a huge quantity of explosive material and arms in Manghopir area, Geo News reported.

Police said, on the information of intelligence agency, police team took an action in Kawairi colony in Manghopir. The accused, on seeing police, opened fire which was retaliated. An accused was killed in this exchange of fire while others managed to flee.

In the action, police recovered huge quantity of explosive material, cache of arms, a car and two motorcycles.

According to DIG West office, the identity of the killed accused could not be ascertained.
