CNG stations in Sindh shut for 48 hours

KARACHI: CNG stations in Sindh will remain closed for 48 hours starting from 9 am Wednesday to 9 am on Friday, Geo News reported.

According to sources, long queues of vehicles were witnessed at CNG pumps on Tuesday night after the announcement was made. The citizens spent the whole night waiting for their turns to get CNG at many stations but only fortunate ones were able to refill the gas cylinders.

The CNG crisis has worsened due to the clash between Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and station owners after the Supreme Court gave judgment on the reduction of CNG prices.

The owners have closed down the pumps from Sunday as they are of the opinion that the current price has incurred losses to them.

Citizens are facing immense transport problems due to CNG closure.
