ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said that terrorism has gone beyond the limit in Pakistan, as terrorists from almost all countries of the world have taken shelter in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, Geo News reported.
A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry heard the Reko Diq case here on Monday.
During the hearing the court asked the attorney of Tethyan Company, Khalid Anwar to wind up his arguments by 1.00 P.M. today.
CJ Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry remarked that several businessmen are living in Quetta despite having no businesses, adding that those who come to Pakistan should be treated according the county’s law, the same way Pakistani's are treated when they go to another country.
The Chief Justice further remarked that other countries hold Pakistani's accountable to their own laws, adding that every country is sovereign whether it is small or large.
While speaking about Pak-India bilateral trade, the Chief Justice said that ties materialized between the two countries after intensive interactions and there are several examples in India where people were arrested on visa expiry.
