ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister Syed Khurshid Shah has said that the Muslim League-Nawaz has not proposed any name for caretaker prime minister, Geo News reported.

Speaking to media, he said that no consensus had been evolved regarding the appointment of caretaker prime minister.

The minister said that he was not informed about as to when the interim government would announce date for the next general election.

Shah said that delimitation of constituencies would be carried out in the country if the Supreme Court ordered. However, he added that the delimitations should not be on ethnic basis.

He said issue of Kalabagh Dam was unnecessarily being taken up to spark ethnic hatred in the country. Shah said that the issue was to be resolved by the politicians and there was no need to take it to the Council of Common Interests (CCI).

The minister said that the government was trying to hammer out consensus on accountability bill and it didn’t want to approve the bill in haste.

Answering a question, he said that the government would try to get dual nationality bill passed.
