Police encounter kills one dacoit in Lahore

LAHORE: An alleged dacoit was killed while another managed to escape during a police encounter that took place in Gulberg area of Lahore, police said.

According to the police, the dacoits opened fire at police on Hali Road. On retaliation police also opened fire, injuring one dacoit.

The dacoits went to private clinic located in Guru Mangat road from where the accused tried to flee after opening fire at police.

Police chased the dacoits and killed one of them while another managed to escape.
