Girl throws acid on ex-fiance in Multan

MULTAN: A girl allegedly threw acid on her former fiance for breaking off their engagement in Multan, affecting the eyes of the victim.

Muhammad Zubair, resident of Shah Rukn e Alam area, said that he engaged with a girl named Beenish two years ago. He said that he broke off the engagement with her and reengaged with another girl.

He said that Waleed, a brother of Beenish, stopped him at gunpoint after which her former fiancee threw acid on him.

Police have recorded the statement of the alleged assaulter and kicked off the interrogation.
