KARACHI: Karachi police claimed to have detained son of second in command of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Karachi outfit and recovered arms from his custody, Geo News reported.

Police conducted a raid in North Karachi and apprehended accused Azmatullah on the complaints of extortions by traders and shopkeepers of the area.

Police also seized arms and hand grenade from his custody.

Accused Azmatullah is said to be son of TTP (Karachi) Naib Ameer Muhamamd Yaqoob.

Azmatullah is also involved in cracker attack at Qalandaria chowk.

Further investigation is underway.
