BANNU: Militants have attacked a police station located on the outskirt of Bannu city early on Monday, injuring the SHO, police said.
According to the police, the incident took place at Kakki police station located at a distance of 14 kilometers away from Bannu city.
The Geo news correspondent said that the militants besieged the police station, hurled hand grenades and then opened fire.
Exchange of fire between police personnel and the militants is underway.
The sources said that the contingent of police force have left for Kakki from Bannu city.
