Karachi traders protest against extortion

KARACHI: Local traders Tuesday staged protest against a grenade attack at a shop on MA Jinnah Road, Geo News reported.

The attack is suspected to be carried out by alleged extortionists a day earlier.

Traders called off the protest after police assured them of beefing up the security in the markets.

According to traders, they have been receiving slips of extortion for last six months.

They added that the owner of the shop, which came under attack, was receiving life threats for the last 3 days.
