KARACHI: Police has registered the cases against unidentified men for killing three female polio workers in the city while police has arrested 25 persons during a search operation, Geo News reported Wednesday.
According to sources, case for shooting one woman is not registered till yet, Geo News reported Wednesday.
Police has claimed that it has arrested 25 suspects during a search operation in Landhi and Quaidabad but was unable to arrest assailants involved in killing the polio workers. Police has also recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.
According to police, husband of murdered polio worker Fahmida, has registered case against unidentified men for shooting down two polio workers in Quaidaabad. A case was also registered for killing one female polio worker and injuring a volunteer in Mojko, Baldia Town. No case has been registered for killing female polio worker in Noori Bangash, Orangi Town.
Amidst all, WHO and UNICEF have announced to continue with the anti-polio campaign in the country.
