President announces compensation for anti-polio workers’ families

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has announced compensation of Rs500, 000 for the families of female health workers shot dead by terrorists during anti-polio campaign on Tuesday and Wednesday, Geo News reported.

The president issued the compensation over the recommendation of his daughter Aseefa Bhutto Zardari.

Unknown gun men shot dead at least nine polio vaccinators in Karachi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa among them six workers during the last three days.
