Will go anywhere to arrest Tauqir Sadiq: IG Punjab

LAHORE: Inspector General Punjab Haji Habib ur Rehman said on Thursday that the police will not hesitate to approach Governor House to arrest Tauqir Sadiq, if need be, Geo News reported.

While addressing a press conference after a high-profile meeting with National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officers, IG Motorway, IG Special Branch, Islamabad Police and officers of other institutions, IG Punjab stressed that Tauqir Sadiq’s allies, if any, will also be charged and brought to justice.

Moreover, Interior Ministry is also being requested to form a collaborative investigative team and include the officials of other investigative agencies in it as well.

He further stated that Tauqir Sadiq is a national culprit involved in evasion of 83 billion rupees. Not only his property would be seized, but his relatives will also be included in the investigation.
