Woman burnt to death as fire engulfs huts in Korangi

KARACHI: A fire swept through a slum area in Korangi on Saturday, killing a woman and injuring two others, Geo News reported.

The incident took place at a slum area located near Mehran Town in Korangi. Rescue sources said that a woman was burnt to death while two men sustained burn injuries as a blaze gutted at least 10 huts.

Fire tenders rushed to the sport and douse the flames. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. There was no official word on how the fire broke out in the huts.
