ISLAMABAD: The mercury has dropped in Azad Kashmir and upper regions of the country after heavy snowfall and rain while the met department has predicted more snowfall, Geo News reported on Saturday.

According to the met department, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will continue to receive more snowfall while uninterrupted hailstorm for the past three days has paralyzed life in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Link roads to and from the upper areas of Skardu, Astore and Diyamar are blocked due to snow.

Intermittent snowfall has added to the beauty of Swat, Kaghan, Naraan and Shograan.

The temperature has dropped in the valleys of Azad Kashmir after heavy rain while snowfall continued in Keel, Shardah, Valley of Guraiz and Laipa.

The link roads in upper NeelamValley, Guraiz Valley and Laipa Valley were blocked due to heavy snow while severe cold winds followed snowfall in Northern Balochistan.
