SC directs Registrar not to appear before PAC

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) Tuesday here stopped SC Registrar from appearing before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Geo News reported.

SC three-member special bench headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal was hearing the petitions against summoning SC Registrar by PAC.

The petitioners had made a plea that calling SC Registrar to appear before PAC was against the independence of judiciary.

SC during the hearing suspending the PAC notice to Registrar called for the Attorney General.

Later, the court adjourned the hearing sine die.
