PESHAWAR: Chief of Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam (Fazl-ur-Rehman) (JUI-F) Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman said Tuesday that law and order situation is being created under a planned conspiracy to postpone general elections, Geo News reported.

He was talking to media men here at the residence of the slain ANP leader Bashir Bilour after offering condolences to the bereaved family.

"If elections can be held in countries like Iraq and Afghanistan, then why not in Pakistan?" he asked, adding the general elections should be conducted on time.

He said statements like “Save Pakistan not politics” are disappointing. 'Save the country' was the main pretext of martial laws imposed in the country in the past.

Fazl-ur-Rehman cautioned that no unconstitutional means would be accepted.
