Ban on motorcycle riding in Gilgit

GILGIT: Motorbike riding has been banned in Gilgit from today (Wednesday) till Friday ahead of Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).

According to Deputy Commissioner Arqam Tariq, the ban has been imposed due to security concerns during Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).

Gilgit several times faced motorcycle ban in the past as well.
