Four dacoits killed in alleged police encounters

SAHIWAL/VIHARI: Four dacoits were killed and two police personnel injured in alleged police encounters in Vehari and Sahiwal, Geo News reported.

Police said three dacoits were killed and two police personnel injured in exchange of fire between them at college chowk in Sahiwal. Three other dacoits managed to flee.

According to police those killed were involved in kidnapping for ransom. Police also recovered an abducted boy and Rs1.5 million ransom money from their possession.

In another encounter in Miranpur Vihari, one dacoit identified as Riyaz alias doctor was killed and other managed to flee.
