PM Ashraf discusses security situation with Governor Balochistan

KARACHI: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has called the Governor of Balochistan Zulfiqar Magsi to discuss the situation of Quetta city, Geo News reported Saturday.

According to sources, PM Ashraf telephoned the Balochistan Governor and discussed the prevalent security situation in Quetta. He has directed the governor to take all necessary measure to protect the lives of citizens.

PM Ashraf assured Governor Magsi that the federation is ready to help the provincial government in any way to protect the lives of its people.

It is pertinent to mention that over 100 people died and more than 150 injured on Thursday when a stream of blasts hit Quetta city. The relatives of the deceased are currently protesting with the dead bodies and demanding the government to hand over the matters to Army.

Lashkar-e-Jhangvi claimed responsibility for the attack.
