ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has approved a petition for hearing filed against Pakistan's Ambassador to US Sherry Rehman over allegedly committing blasphemy, Geo News reported.

According to details, a citizen submitted a constitutional petition accusing Sherry Rehman for committing blasphemy and seeking court’s ruling to have a case registered against her.

The petitioner also claimed that police have refused to lodge case against Sherry Rehman.

A Two-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali approved the petition for hearing.
