KARCHI: Cellular phones have started ringing across the country after mobile services suspended as a security measure on Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi (PBUH) have started resuming, Geo News reported.

The services were suspended on the directives of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in 59 cities across the country to ward off any terrorist attacks on Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi (PBUH) gatherings/processions.

According to reports cellular blackout was imposed in Karachi, Hyderabad, Khairpur, Mirpirkhas, Sukkur, Larkana and Nosheroferoz in Sindh.

In Punjab province, the services were suspended in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Multan Dera Ghazi Khan, Rahim Yar Khan, Bhakkar, Daria Khan, Sahiwal, Chichawatni among various areas.

In Balochistan, only provincial capital Quetta faced suspension. In while in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, riding bikes was also banned in Dera Ismail Khan till midnight. Moreover pillion riding was banned in District Tank for indefinite period.
