‘Nobody can bar ECP from holding transparent election’

ISLAMABAD: Criticizing opposition plans to stage-sit in against the Election Commission of Pakistan, government officials said the move was aimed at diverting attention from creation of South Punjab province.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity they said the ECP could not be barred from playing its role in holding free and fair election.

They said issues could not be addressed through staging sit-ins.
