KARACHI: The sit-in of opposition political parties in front of the office of Provincial Election Commission continued on consecutive second day here Sunday.
Naib Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Asadullah Bhutto, Ameer JI Sindh Mairaj-ul-Huda, Ameer JI Karachi Muhammad Hussain Mahenti, Saleem Zia of PML-N, Saif-ur-Rehman of PTI, Naib Ameer JI Karachi Barjees Ahmed, General Secretary JI Karachi Naseem Siddiqui, Maulana Muhammad Ghayyas of JUI-F, Mustaqeem Noorani of JUP, Matloob Awan of ST, Mazhar Rahoja of Awami Tehreek, Gulzar Soomro of STPP, Maulana Ghulam Mustafa Farooqui of JUI-S, Sikandar Khan Yousufzai of PAMP, Ghulam Qambar Ali of AJP and others attended the sit-in.
Speaking on occasion, Mairaj-ul-Huda said that criminal elements were trying to manipulate the voter list verification process. He said this sit-in is also a part of the struggle to get Karachi rid of extortionists and target killers. "We will not accept Thapa mafia and its engineered mandate." (PPI)
