JAMSHORO: University of Sindh Jamshoro (USJ) thirty protesting employees have been arrested and 150 booked under Anti-Terrorism Act, following a violent clash of the protesters with the police, Geo News report Wednesday.

USJ employees, who were peacefully protesting in support of their demands since last 44 days, lost their patience when yesterday police arrived that led to a clash. Police claimed that six persons including SP Headquarter Wasi Haider were injured in the violent clash.

Police registering two cases under Anti-Terrorism Act arrested 30 protesting employees and booked 150.

On the other hand, a strike is being observed in the Universities of different Sindh districts and the academic activities have remained suspended.
