ECP takes notice of reports on govt recruitments

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has taken notice of media reports regarding recruitments in government institutions, Geo News reported Wednesday.

The ECP had banned the recruitments on January 21 after receiving complaints from different political parties.

The government has also requested the ECP to lift the ban on recruitments, as election schedule was not issued so far.

Sources said that the ECP had sought record of news published in a section of media regarding the recruitments and would consider action against the concerned departments after reviewing the reports.
